Fargo Soldier Promoted to First Sergeant

1st Sgt. Brad Reed

Brad Reed was promoted to the rank of first sergeant in the North Dakota Army National Guard on April 1, 2012.

Reed serves with the 188th Army Band in Fargo, N.D.  As first sergeant, he will be the senior enlisted Soldier in the band and responsible for training, discipline, noncommissioned officer development and morale in the unit.

A native of Maddock, N.D., Reed plays trumpet with the band.  He has served in the Guard since 1982 and was deployed during Operation Desert Storm in the early 1990s.  In civilian life, he is an athletic trainer with Sanford Orthopedics and Sports Medicine of Fargo.
