Austill completes Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training

Bismarck, ND – Pvt. 2 Brandon L. Austill of Bismarck, N.D., has completed Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training for the North Dakota Army National Guard.
Austill attended Basic Combat Training for 10 weeks at Fort Jackson, S.C., graduating August 2010, and then returned home to finish his senior year of high school. He then attended Advanced Individual Training which consisted of 8 weeks of military occupational schooling at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., graduating October 6, 2011.
Prior to his training, Austill was assigned to the Recruit Training Company in Bismarck, N.D., which prepared him for his military training by learning basic combat and Soldier tasks. Since the completion of his training, Austill has been assigned to 816th ENGR Co. in Mott as a Construction Equipment Operator (12N).
Austill’s mom is Melina I. McNair of Bismarck, N.D. Austill’s uncle, Ernie McNair, serves in the United States Air Force.
Austill graduated from South Central High School in 2011.
