Bismarck, ND – Pvt. Lindy D. McCollum of Crystal, N.D., has completed Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training for the North Dakota Army National Guard.

McCollum attended Basic Combat Training for 10 weeks at Fort Sill, Okla., and then continued on to Advanced Individual Training which consisted of 13 weeks of military occupational schooling at Fort Lee, Va., graduating December 15, 2011.

Prior to her training, McCollum was assigned to the Recruit Training Company in Bismarck, N.D., which prepared her for her military training by learning basic combat and Soldier tasks. Since the completion of her training, McCollum has been assigned to Det 2 FWD SPT Co 2-285 ASLT BN in Bismarck as a Light Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic (91B).

McCollum graduated from Valley High School in 2010. McCollum’s parents are Larry and Sara McCollum of Crystal, N.D.
