Morningstar completes Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training

Bismarck, ND – Pvt. 2 Renatta B. Morningstar of New Town, N.D., has completed Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training for the North Dakota Army National Guard.
Morningstar attended Basic Combat Training for 10 weeks at Fort Jackson, S.C., and then continued on to Advanced Individual Training which consisted of 8 weeks of military occupational schooling at Fort Lee, Va., graduating October 12, 2011.
Prior to her training, Morningstar was assigned to the Recruit Training Company in Bismarck, N.D., which prepared her for her military training by learning basic combat and Soldier tasks. Since the completion of her training, Morningstar has been assigned to BTRY C 1-188th ADA in Fargo as a Unit Supply Specialist (92Y).
Morningstar’s parents are Dawn and Chad Erickson of New Town, N.D. Morningstar’s brother, Aaron Morningstar also serves in the North Dakota National Guard.
Morningstar graduated from New Town High School in 2011. Morningstar is attending North Dakota State University studying Physical Therapy and Sports Management.
